The Museum is located in City Park, approximately three miles east of downtown Denver, at the intersection of Montview and Colorado Boulevards.

Directions By Car

From the North

Take I-25 south to I-70 (Exit 214), then take I-70 east to Colorado Boulevard south (Exit 276-B). Go south on Colorado Boulevard for two miles. Turn right (west) at the intersection of Colorado and Montview Boulevards.

From the South

Take I-25 north to Colorado Boulevard (Exit 204). Go north on Colorado Boulevard for five miles. Turn left (west) at the intersection of Colorado and Montview Boulevards (five blocks north of the intersection of Colorado Boulevard and Colfax Avenue).

From the East

Take I-70 west to Colorado Boulevard south (Exit 276-B). Go south on Colorado Boulevard for two miles. Turn right (west) at the intersection of Colorado and Montview Boulevards.

From the West

Take I-70 east to Colorado Boulevard south (Exit 276-B). Go south on Colorado Boulevard for two miles. Turn right (west) at the intersection of Colorado and Montview Boulevards.

Directions By Bus

RTD buses #20, #32, #40, and DD stop near the Museum on Colorado and Montview Boulevards. For specific information, call RTD at 303.299.6000, 1.800.366.RIDE, or visit RTD’s Web site.

Main Parking Lot

The Main Parking Lot is located on the north side of the Museum, facing City Park’s ball fields. Parking spaces for those with disabilities are available close to the Museum’s main entrance.

Underground Parking Garage

The entrance to the Underground Parking Garage is on the west side of the Museum’s north parking lot, by the main entrance. There are 550 underground spaces on two levels, including multiple spots for those with disabilities.

Additional Parking

Additional Parking is located on the east side of the Museum, facing Colorado Boulevard, and to the south of the Museum, along the access road that intersects 17th Avenue. There is also parking along E. 22nd Avenue just north of the main lot, along Lake Avenue to the west of the Museum, and just north of the Denver Zoo in City Park.
